A dynamic-translinear fully-integrated highly-directional hearing aid adapter

چکیده
A directional hearing aid adapter was designed and implemented using Dynamic Translinear (DTL) circuit techniques. The signal-processing core was optimized to yield minimum current consumption for the specified dynamic range. In this paper the design and implementation of the core is presented. It consumes a current of 40 μA at a supply voltage of down to 1.0 V having a total integrated capacitance of 400 pF for a dynamic range of 50 dB.

In this paper, the design and measurement of a 1-V translinear integrator and its application in a controllable secondorder lowpass filter for hearing instruments is presented. A semicustom version of the filter has been integrated in a standard 2m, 7-GHz, bipolar IC process and operates at voltages down to 1 V, consumes only 6 A, and has a dynamic range of 57 dB for a total harmonic distortion...

Many hearing aid users have “better speech understanding in noise” as their number one requirement for a hearing instrument. To feel fully integrated in society, they want to be able to carry on a social or professional conversation, even in acoustic environments with competing noise or reverberation. Even a hearing aid fitted with an optimum frequency response cannot fully compensate for the f...
متن کاملShortening the analog design trajectoryby means of the dynamic translinearprincipleWouter
|A promising new approach to shorten the design trajectory of analog integrated circuits without giving up functionality is formed by the class of dynamic translinear circuits. This paper presents a structured design method for this young, yet rapidly developing, circuit paradigm. As a design example, a 40-A 2-V dynamic translinear PLL, used as an FM demodulator, is presented.
متن کاملA Wide-Tunable Translinear Second-Order Oscillator - Solid-State Circuits, IEEE Journal of
This paper describes the design and measurement of a translinear second-order oscillator. The circuit is a direct implementation of a nonlinear second-order differential equation and follows from a recently developed synthesis method for dynamic translinear circuits. It comprises only two capacitors and a handful of bipolar transistors and can be instantaneously controlled over a very wide freq...

A Novel circuit configuration for realizing multi-output four-terminal floating nullor in biopolar monolithic integrated circuit form is described. The circuit is simple and based on the use of an improved translinear cell type circuit, which provide wide bandwidth and dynamic range. The characteristics of this circuit are confirmed by HSPICE simulation results. The performance of the FTFN-base...
